Website Copywriting Tips: Words That Sell for Small Businesses
Design attracts the eye, but copy closes the sale. Too many Moroccan business websites are built with beautiful layouts and forgettable words. Great copywriting turns casual visitors into paying customers.
Speak to One Person
Write as if you're talking to a single customer, not a crowd. Use the second person and describe the problem your customer feels. A visitor who recognizes their own situation keeps reading.
Lead With Benefits, Not Features
A feature is "we offer 24-hour support." A benefit is "you get help whenever your site breaks." Benefits answer the customer's real question: what's in it for me?
Use Clear Headlines and Short Paragraphs
- One idea per paragraph, maximum three lines.
- Headlines that state the benefit or raise curiosity.
- Bullet lists for scanning — most visitors read in seconds, not minutes.
Write for Search and for People
Include the keywords your customers type into Google, like "web design in Casablanca," but use them naturally. Keyword stuffing repels both readers and search engines.
Include a Clear Next Step
Every page should tell the visitor exactly what to do next: call, message on WhatsApp, or request a quote. Never leave them guessing.
