Website Cost in Morocco — Real Prices for 2026
"How much does a website cost?" is the first question almost every Moroccan business owner asks. The answer varies wildly across the market — from 1,500 MAD to 50,000 MAD for the same type of project. Here's what actually determines the price, and what you should expect to pay in 2026.
The Three Price Levels
1. Showcase websites — from 1,645 MAD
A showcase site (usually 3–8 pages) presents your business, services, and contact details. At this price you should get: a modern mobile-first design, basic SEO setup, WhatsApp integration, and a contact form. Most showcase sites in Morocco are built in 7–14 days. This is the right option for most small businesses, freelancers, and service providers.
2. E-commerce stores — from 8,245 MAD
An online store adds product pages, a shopping cart, payment and cash-on-delivery options, and order management. Expect a 3–6 week delivery time and significantly more work: product data, payment integration, shipping rules, and testing. If you plan to sell physical products across Morocco, this is your starting point.
3. Custom platforms — 20,000 MAD and up
Booking systems, membership portals, custom dashboards, or multi-language platforms require bespoke development. These projects are priced individually based on scope.
What's Hidden in the Price?
- Domain & hosting: expect ~300–600 MAD/year for a .com domain and quality hosting, or more for a .ma domain.
- Content: professional copywriting and photos are often quoted separately.
- Maintenance: updates, backups, and security usually start at 500 MAD/month.
- SEO: technical SEO is often included, but ongoing optimization is a separate service.
Why Cheap Websites Cost More in the Long Run
A 1,000 MAD template site might look fine at first, but it usually lacks mobile optimization, loads slowly, has weak security, and offers no support. When it breaks — or never ranks on Google — you pay a designer again to fix or rebuild it. The real cost of a website is what it costs you in missed customers.
What You Should Pay in 2026
For a professional showcase site with mobile design, SEO, and support, budget 1,645–5,000 MAD. For an e-commerce store with COD and payment integration, budget 8,245–20,000 MAD. Everything below those ranges usually means hidden compromises.
